The Holidays and your immune system

Good afternoon all! Sorry I haven’t posted in a little while, work has been crazy! Now I am back so lets talk about keeping your immune system up during the holidays. Here are just a few tips to help you stay healthy.

  • Get at least 7-8 hours of sleep. I know that can be difficult so I would suggest drinking some Sleepytime tea and/or taking some Melatonin.
  • Make sure your gut is health. All those carbs taste great but can be a bit hard on your gut. I would suggest adding a good probiotic diet like GTS Organic Raw Kombucha (that’s my personal favorite).
  • Antioxidants are also very important. All I can suggest here is berries, berries, and more berries. Mix some blueberries with some Greek yogurt and honey= mmm!
  • Let’s not forget Vitamin C and Calcium. Calcium helps to strengthen bones and joints. Vitamin C helps to break down all the health nutrients you consume and adds a great boost to your immune system.

With all this being said I highly suggest combining all this with a few runs and/or basic exercises. Also don’t deprive yoursel of all the tasty holiday treats. Cookies, pie, Candied Yams have it all. Just remember have everything in moderation.
