Happy International Dog Day all!
So today let’s talk about exploring your city or town through running. When I first moved to Upland I didn’t know to many people. So I’d spend my time running. That is when I found out that there was a running trail not too far from where I lived. This trail is called the Pacific Electric Trail.
This trail led me straight to the heart of historic downtown Upland and Upland City Hall. If I hadn’t gone exploring my new route I would never have found all the hidden gems of historic downtown Upland. I would never have found the pet food store I get my dogs treats from or the candy shop that calls to me every time I pass it. I definately wouldn’t have found out about all the events, concerts, or fairs that the city of Upland hosts.
Also I would have never found the Upland Farmers Market that takes place every Saturday from 9am – 2pm. I know I have talked about it before but I really enjoy it. Most importantly I would have never found the Friends of the Upland Animal Shelter, which is were we go our Wilson from. Below you’ll see a big picture of him giving me sass.
So I hope this encourages others to explore their city, town, or just your neighborhood. You may find some hidden gems along the way. Until next time, keep eating your greens!
